A Teesside dental practice has been raising money for local children’s hospice, Zoe’s Place whilst brightening local smiles.
Over the past couple of months, the national award winning dental practice, The Smile Spa has donated a contribution for every teeth whitening treatment to Zoe’s Place to celebrate their 5thanniversary.
Dr Susan Andrews commented, “We are delighted to have raised £750 for Zoe’s Place, it’s such a fantastic organisation which is doing amazing work. Celebrating 5 years of The Smile Spa, we wanted to give something back to the charities in our region.”
The Smile Spa team have been busy fundraising by joining the Evolution Corporate Challenge, which raised money for Hartlepool & District Hospice, St. Theresa’s Hospice and Zoe’s Place and some team members completed this year’s Race for life.
“The Smile Spa has also joined Bridge2Aid to support the training of a Tanzanian Clinical Officer. The Clinical Officer goes on to work in their local community treating thousands of people who would otherwise have no access to dental care, providing vital relief from pain.” said Dr Andrews. “As a Practice, we want to be involved in helping others around us – in our local community and in the wider world. So we have committed to raising money towards the cost of training one Clinical Officer, and we get to hear how they are getting on.”
